About
OUR STORY
Our name derives from the term “indigo children,” which refers to a being whom may possess special abilities or talents. A being brought in on a higher plane. An old soul, one could say. I believe many of us have some form of this inside of us, but sometimes we may be led astray by our society’s expectations.
We all hold our own unique knowledge in different aspects of life. It’s important that we share this insight with others, that we continue to help those around us, and ourselves, achieve greatness. We must do our part to keep love and compassion circulating throughout our surroundings, because there’s not nearly enough of it in this world.
Our clothing is meant to be for anyone and everyone, nothing is gender specific. The fashion industry represents both women and men widely in a variety of ways, but very few make pieces that anyone can wear, no matter your pronouns. Which is why we’re here. I hope when you wear our pieces, or use our products, you feel empowered. I hope to bring you a feeling of comfort, courage, a sense of being heard. To unite you with others, creating a community you’re proud to be a part of.
THE CREATOR
Hey! My name is Indigo, the founder/creator of The Color Indigo.
The meaning behind indigo children/people, as mentioned in our story above, played a very vital role in my life growing up. At some point in my early teens, I decided to start using Indigo as the name behind all of my creations, being that I always felt such a deep connection to it.
Art has always been my outlet, as it is for many. It is the one thing that brings me peace, that brings me a sense of relief. When I create, I feel I’m able to share any insight I may have, to do my part in making some form of positive impact. To create a community that brings us all together, no matter where you came from, or where you might go.
Therefore, I bring to you, The Color Indigo.
